NEW ERA OF JOURNALISM IN UDUS
By: Tijani Abdullah
It is with utmost importance I share with you my experience of an irresponsible father of five children, for best understanding of the central idea of this article.
My admission into this institution gave me an opportunity to encounter the him and by now you would have been pondering wondering of how this suspense will last long in curiosity to know on earth who is the so called father.
The National Association of Campus Journalist, UDUS that i had labelled the father of five children has five boards under .These five boards contained members of the press on the campus which stand and serve as the campus voice.
As I noticed how journalism in our school is being rececently approached, I got to realize that’d indeed this a new era of journalism in UDUS. Prior to this era, all students of this institution do not know the essence and value of having a press association in the school.
However, I have to rewind your memory so as to remind you of the past when journalism in UDUS is not encouraging, when our motor of journalism is crawling, when our writers cannot get a penny from their writing. Hence, the press then cannot with their pen suppress the oppressors.
Moreover, the then journalists cannot boldly and proudly present themselves as a campus journalist as they possessed not the attributes of journalism.
But for the glory of recent leaders that never cease to shine on the association enables us to swim in it. This extract is enough to give image on how irresponsible father of five irresponsible children surprisingly turned responsible.
Journalism in this school has turned to another direction and resulted to another dimension. The progressive and prospective movements adopted by this association has turned the whole system of the school all around. It has been understood beyond matures doubt that the advent of the contemporary journalism partook in the drastic progress of the institution because it has been for long an engine without speaker.
Lastly, the fish had find its way into the new pond and so, the village rats should tell the city ones not to underestimate their essence as they serve as an intrinsic link among the students. For with their pen they speak and with their voice they advocate for the voiceless.
