WHY FRESHERS ANXIOUSLY AWAITS MATRICULATION DAY

It is not a strange fact that there exist in the first semester calendar of tertiary institution, a matriculation season that signifies the official acceptance of fresher’s into the university and in turn they will all be a bonafide students
As new admitted students of Usmanu Dan Fodiyo University are not yet been matriculated by the management, most freshers are in agog and cannot more wait for the matriculation day.
However, there has been a slight changes in activities in this semester, the green light of its preparation have not yet been seen by the students.
It is not an understatement to state that the matriculation of new students symbolises a new beginning in their life and a step of progress in their educational career. Because, many was admitted but some will be matriculated.
Moreover, with four weeks to the commencement of the examination, new students are stressed matriculating them during that period. It should be taken into consideration that there are some students that cannot kill two birds with a stone. Even when there are distractions, those who can kill one may miss target. For the sharp thorn they say often produces delicate roses.
Lastly, it is an admission of ignorance and uncertainty to the students of the university that the matriculation will hold soon. Towards this end, the university management should take into consideration the negative effect of it on the new students during the period of examination.
