Dear Honourable,
I hope this meets you well. I was one of the electoral officers at your polling unit in the last students’ Union election in which you were elected as one of the members representing the Faculty of Science at the Students’ Representatives’ Assembly. With the number of votes cast by students in your favour, I concluded that your people were so much optimistic about you, but it seems you’re on the route to failing them.
Your actions in the last legislative sitting are nothing to write home about. If at all there is any provision for ‘recall’ in the students’ handbook, you deserve it. You gave me an impression that you’ve been ‘bought’. Instead of you to be moving sensible motions, you were busy moving counter-motions, why?
The Students’ Union welfare director was said to have spent more than was approved by the house in carrying out a project which is a great disrespect to the assembly. About #59,000 was claimed to have been illegally spent, yet, you went ahead to support him. Telling the house that the Welfare Director shouldn’t be suspended, rather, be given a medal, why?
When I heard about the water project executed by the welfare director, I was happy due to the fact that some of our hostels like ‘Kwankwasiyyah’ and ‘Zamfara’ lacked adequate water supply, but when I saw the said water project, hmm. I found a nose and I lost my lips. I was so much disappointed. I couldn’t believe I saw roofed pits with water pumped into them. At first, I thought they were fish ponds but I later recalled that fish ponds are not always covered. Nowadays when there are good system of water supply one can adopt, it’s abandoned pits he decided to cover. Should a medal be given for this?
The president, comrade Ibrahim Sheu Kalgo embarked on over a million naira project without legislative approval, yet, you countered a motion for his suspension. I was not even much bothered about that, but where I started to think you’ve been seen behind the camera was when you said the president was or might be insensible of the fact that he had breached the constitution. When the president was summoned to defend himself, he said he knew he had breached the rule but you still went ahead to defend him, why? The president himself once told me in an interview that he knew he had breached the constitution but you still tried to cook up something to defend him. Do we look like a thumb-sucking nursery school children you can fool?
My advice to you Honourable is that you should honourably honour yourself as an Honourable by sticking to the truth and always reason along with reasonable reasoners so that the people you’re representing will be proud to have you over there. Also, do not forget that you’re detrimenting your nomenclature with your attitude, and as my people always say, ‘good name is better than riches’. I wish you well.
