Education Should be Free

Nigeria is a bestowed country. In fact, more than many others in terms of natural resources. In this situation, there should be an arise opportunity for both the rich and the poor to have equal chance to free education. Unfortunately, our leaders are not giving enough consideration.

The different characteristics of a group of people most especially concerning culture or national experiences is the first problem which retrogress a country like Nigeria. Our leaders have the capability to make  things easy for the citizens but they only have regards for themselves and their children over other populace’s well-being.

During their time, I was told, these bad leaders  enjoyed the system of education where there was free food. But nowadays, children burst into tears every monday morning. I could vividly  remember when I was in primary school. If the pleasure that our bad leaders enjoyed during their time is given to each student now, students will be more thoughtful of education.

The registration fees for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) are on high level and too much to  afford by many parents. Nowadays, parents suffer to enrol their children in the educational province.

I only see this as a way to strike poor people out of educational territory.

To be a graduate in Nigeria requires a tireless efforts, unfortunately, education in our country has lost its value in tertiary level, some students who stuggle to sponsor themselves and find it difficult to survive the hike school fees.

Government has no point for not giving  us free education since they are using our resources to fetch themselves billions in naira. They abandoned our school and send their children abroad.

Our leaders were born with sliver spoon; they were given excessive indulgence which makes them not to acquire decent habit and manner that will make them humane. No wonder they are all wicked.

In the developed countries, education is taken as a priority. But in Nigeria, we have prominent graduates who are not able to secure job. In the end, they became worthless.
