The Chairman Caretaker Committee (CTC) for Students’ Union, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS),Muhammad Shamsudeen said students who had already paid their school fees may end up losing their money.
It was gathered that students have been seeing updates of the amount of tuition fees on their portal with roughly 50% increment and which has triggered some of them to proceed making payment for the fees.
Meanwhile, recall that Mallam Ahmad Issah Chafe, the Director of Management of Information System(MIS) have warned students not to generate and pay any invoice for school fees until the management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto releases the official tuition fees schedule for the 2022/2023 academic session.
In a conversation with the President of National Association of Campus Journalists(NACJ), UDUS chapter, Abdulwasiu Olookoba, the CTC chairman said the tuition fees schedule is yet to be released officially and those proceeded with payment may end up losing their money.
“I want to disclose that the fees are yet to be released. However, those who have already paid, may end up losing their money, because the University initializes the database.”
He also added that all 200-level 2022/2023 payment records are deleted.
