The chairman of the Teaching Practice (TP), doctor Abbas Mahmud of Faculty of Education and Extension Services, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto has directed the students’ teachers to submit their log books to their various TP departmental coordinators, starting from 25th April to 2nd May.
It can be recalled that the Teaching Practice exercise which was scheduled for six weeks, lasted for three weeks on account of the vacation of both primary and secondary schools in Sokoto and Kebbi states, during the period of the TP program.
According to the statement released by the chairman TP coordinator, Doctor Abbas Mahmud said, each and every student teacher should report to the various TP departmental coordinators whether or not he or she has been supervised.
The statement reads in full:
“The Teaching Practice Period as scheduled was six weeks but unfortunately, Sokoto and Kebbi students still have three weeks to complete their TP program. But to Zamfara state, students have completed their six weeks period of TP.
“Even though there are complaints of non-supervision by respective supervisors. Despite all these issues, we are expecting each student to report himself to his/her departmental Teaching Practice Coordinator with their TP evaluation book from 25th April, 2023 to 2nd May, 2023.”
“Further Information would be communicated indue course with regard to supervision”.
