Man City have hammered Real Madrid 4-0 in the second-leg clash of the UEFA Champions League second semi-final at Etihad stadium on Wednesday night.

Guardiola’s men will play an Italian side Internazional Milan in the final at Istanbul in June after reaching the milestone on 5-1 aggregate.

The beginning of the first half saw Manchester City with a basket of attempts but quashed all the efforts. Both sides were on top of the game as Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois recorded a masterclass save to deny Haaland header.

However, the Citizens maintained their domination, giving the opponent no chance to penetrate. A 23rd minute goal delivered by Bernardo Silva put City in a lead before another one set Los Blancos ablaze in the halftime.

The Spanish side started well in the second half but Pep’s side quickly won possession before an awful history came up again.

Last year, two late goals by Rodrygo in the second leg semi finals held Madrid to an extra time where Benzema’s penalty sent Los Blancos to the final and defeated Liverpool to win the Competition for the 14th time.

An own goal by Eder Militao sealed Man City qualification, booking their final spot at Istanbul.lSubstituted Julian Alvarez added the 4th goal at the injury time to push the defending champions into an utter humiliation.

Coach Josep Guardiola had taken Man City to their second ever Uefa Champions League final after a 1-0 loss to rival Chelsea in 2021.

Pep will be ready to hand the first Champions League to the City when they play Inter at the final in Istanbul next month.
