ROQ Math class, Usmanu Danfodiyo university, Sokoto is set to organize a free remedial class on MATH 101 for 100-level students.
The Mat101 class is a-four day remedial class which will be held at A132 lecture hall on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at exactly 4:30 pm.
The 45 minutes free Mat101 remedial class is aimed at providing academic support to students who may be struggling with the foundational concept of mathematics covered in the math 101 course.
In an interview with The News Digest Press, AbdulQuadri Robiu, the initiator and the tutor at ROQ Math class , noted that the fear of failure gives him the orientation to come up with this positive impact.
“Mathematics is not just about counting numbers as people presume. It is the study of numbers, shapes and spaces which allow its learner to manipulate mathematical problems, solve puzzles and also increase their critical thinking. play games to solve real life problems.
“Mathematical Phobia is another factor that triggered me. As I was determined to find a way to eliminate that so-called phobia in the hearts of students, hence the reason behind the creation of my YouTube Channel “ROQ MATHS CLASS” because Mathematics is LIFE. The mission is to help UG1 students build a strong foundation and succeed as a fresher of UDUS.”
Speaking further, Abdulkodir noted that the class is open to all ug1 students in the university, regardless of their departments or faculties.
“ The objective is to help students from different departments as far as MATH 101 is concerned and to build a strong foundation in the subject, which will aid their understanding of subsequent courses in mathematics and other related fields,”he added.
