Just as the story of Libia is new to you, it’s new to Zainab too, who is a fresher in her wedlock. Two months prior to her marriage seemed like an enchantment to her imagination as everything happened to her like a sudden display.

“I’m Zainab by name, a graduate of human anatomy and scholar, nicknamed: Macbeth of Human body,” Zainab said in a manner that arouses pity.

“It’s not an exaggeration of personality if it’s said that I am a genius from birth. From my primary school, I have been a first position claimer while others follow.”

Zainab topped the SSCE examination in her state which led to popularity before she sought admission into university. All happened to her not by magic but by her smartness and for being a genius.

She, during her university life, used to chase away, all men that comes to approach her and forsake any of her friends who pronounces the word- boyfriend beside her, for her determination was set up on a permanent basis of how to graduate with the competitive first-class and marry a rich kid. “My first priority was how to graduate with first class and get married to a wealthy man’s son,” she spoke with sudden involuntary pause!

This pretty genius was so serious about her education during her campus life that the only thing that could make her feel miserable was when she didn’t perform well to her satisfaction in any examination.

Zainab earned the nickname ‘ Macbeth of human beings’ when her departmental HOD and lecturers were left flabbergasted as she got ‘A’ grade in a course known to be intricate and nearly impossible for a 3rd year Student to pass.

On her convocation day, she claimed all the prizes and got a scholarship for her Masters and PhD- as the highest possible academic degree a student can obtain. Not only that, she was also gifted with a luxury car. “ That day, I told myself that I had fulfilled all the promises I made for my parents,” she said by emitting a deep audible breath.

After Zainab had obtained all she could in her academia, one day, her dad sat her down and said while wearing a precious smile on his face “ I think it’s high time you showed us the luckiest guy.”

“I have no man yet. I always chase them away when I was in school and up till now, I haven’t met my choice of man,” zainab said with tears dropping down her cheeks

Her mother, walked closer to her and wiped away her tears. “ My love, stop crying, there is a guy who is a son of my childhood friend; he is the best option for you at the moment,” said Zainab’s mother.

Zainab agreed so as to be free from the pressure. She did a low-key introduction. “The  only thing I found weird in what my mum said was that the guy attended college of education to obtain his NCE. I didn’t even thought of him being a poor guy when I realized that all my friends have gotten married. I tried to be in love with him not knowing him deeply,” she said.

Two months later, they had a grand ceremony to celebrate their marriage and moved to their matrimonial home.

“I had presumed earlier that a day like this will spring up in our marriage because we

engaged through matchmaking. He always mistreats me with all my certificates. A professor to be beaten by an NCE holder,” she said pitifully.

Zainab narrated that are friends who are only BSc holders are living happily with their husbands. Every day, she thinks of filing for divorce or to keep living this kind of displeasing life.

“So I will never have the man of my dreams as a  husband. Is this how I will end up my life?” she cried out by asking rhetorically.
