Manchester City have clinched the FA Cup title following a commanding 2-1 victory over Manchester United on Saturday at the Wembley Stadium, thanks to Ilkay Gundogan’s brace.
Pep Guordiala’s men hit the front through Captain Ilkay Guondogan barely before the fans could settle on their seats. However, United brought the game back to parity after a controversial handball by Jack Grealish inside the box.
Following a thorough review by the Video Assistant Referee(VAR),Ten Hag’s side were awarded a penalty which Bruno Fernandez converted into a goal at 33th minutes to end the first-half with 1-1.
Manchester City restored their lead in the 51th minute after clinical finish from Gundogan courtesy an immaculate pass from Kelvin De Bruyne.
Alejandro Garnancho came close to equalizing for United but his effort went off the post at the 71st minute.
The Cityzens are inches away from completing a history treble, having won the Premier league title and set up a UEFA Champions League final clash with Inter Milan on Saturday.
