The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto Chapter, has on Wednesday, 28th June held a salah feast for the students that are celebrating their Eidul-Adha on campus.
According to Abubakar Muhammad Jamiu, an external supervisor to the program, he said the MSSN (UDUS) organized the feast to relieve students who are unable to go home for the celebration the Eid festival
Speaking with The News Digest Press, one of the organizers urged students who reside in Bakassi and Benji hostels to kindly go to their hostels to claim their own shares of the feast.
Responding to the question on why the food seems not enough, Abubakar noted that some students were so greedy that they collected food multiple times.
“Three bags of rice were cooked and two big cows were slaughtered. We shared it at different places like Benji, Tura Gora, Bakassi and Jubril Aminu mosque but some students were just greedy,” he said.
In an interview with the News Digest Press, UDUS, Raji Faruq, one of the beneficiaries of the program, appreciated the hosts of the salah feast and thanked God for guiding them to hold such a program.
