The Federation of Oyo State Students’ Union(FOSSU) and National Association of Osun state students’ (NAOSS) football teams, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto chapters, are set to play a friendly football match.
The match, according to a flier released by the associations, will kick-off on Saturday, 8th July 2023 at the university stadium by 7:00am.
Speaking with The News Digest Press, the Sport Director for NAOSS, Adeyemi Rafiu Opeyemi said the purpose of organizing the match is to foster more unity and cooperation between the two unions.
“There was an existing mutual relationship between the two unions before and in order to foster more unity and cooperation this match was organized.”
“I know that the FOSSU team is very consistent in their pattern of playing, but we are fully prepared for them. The game will be a tough one,” he asserted.
Prince Adeyinka, the sport director for FOSSU, popularly known as Prince of peace noted that the NAOSS team defeated them in their last match, regarding that they are ready to crush the team by all means.
“My team is fully prepared, although the NAOSS defeated us in our last match, but that would not repeat itself this time, as we are fully prepared physically,” he emphasized.
