On a very night when the birds have gone to rest and silence took over the atmosphere, Omotola Bankola, with rue, had her heart ladened while recounting an indescribable awful experience she had. In her rumination, Omotola could not account for the condition she has been put into. Omotola has been put in the family way by unknown men, but she could only remember the day she attended a night party with her friend. She remembered that she was so drunk at that party to the extent that she lost her senses and became unconscious of her actions and inaction; she started misbehaving and making unintelligible words in her utterances.
At a point in her rumination, she flashed back, and she began to recall how everything happened. At the party she attended, she ordered a cool nonalcoholic soft drink, which in contrary to her demand, was mixed up with some drops of alcohol, and she drank the two bottles and lost her natural feelings. She stood up on her seat, and started speaking in a bad manner. She tried to control herself but the intoxicant was powerful beyond her control.
Her friend, who was with her, sought the assistance of some bystanders to carry her to where she could relax and hopefully regain her consciousness. The bystanders were able young men who were also in the event. The young men assisted her to a room in the hotel for her to settle there. They laid her on the bed. While placing her on the bed, some sensitive parts of her body got exposed as her cloth shifted from her a little bit. This moved the young men into action and then took advantage of her situation.
Regaining her consciousness, she met herself wet. She was surprised, asking herself where she was, and what could have made her wet. She walked out directly to her destination in a state of confusion. On her way, she was hit by a black Lexus car. She fainted and was rushed to the nearest hospital where she was told that she had been sexually arrassed. Necessary treatments were given to her and was asked to visit the hospital after some while for subsequent medical checkups.
On her visitation for the check up after some while, it was discovered that she had become pregnant. Feeling seriously bittered, she asked the doctor if she could abort the unwanted pregnancy. The doctor, who felt reluctant to carry out such an act, advised her to keep the pregnancy and look for the one who was responsible for it. Unfortunately, she couldn’t recognize the culprits. Although not willing to keep the pregnancy, in her efforts to look for the culprits, she learnt they had been killed by unknown gunmen the previous night.
