Unlike other Yoruba movies, Jagun Jagun has spread its wings across Nigeria, featuring as one of the most famous movies on Netflix presently. Action-packed in Yoruba traditional style, the setting of the movie is fascinating.

There is the Ogunduji’s Kingdom—a school of warriors where many gallant warriors are trained, and only the strong survive while the weak face death.

After passing the school’s screening, a person
is eligible to hold an ax to face any war. But failure will amount to automatic disqualification. This happened to Alabi, a character in the movie.

Now, let the coins roll. Back to the kingdom of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. The way students of the university are running out of the campus after the first semester battle
would make you think as if they are studying on a mercury planet.

Can we call UDUS the Ogunduji’s Kingdom in the Jagun jagun movie ? Yes. It is worth the title because once you step into the kingdom of the Seat of Caliphate, it means you have signed an unalarming war to study under the scorching sun.

UDUS is a kingdom where many warriors are bred to face battles like untimely, unannounced continuous assessments. it’s survival of the fittest and the luckiest. Everyone has the ability and talent, just like Gbotija, a character in the movie who has an inborn power which no one believes and that makes him the strongest, fittest and luckiest in the movie.

It’s not an exaggeration that Danfodiyo varsity
is the most peaceful and the hardest university in Nigeria. Yes. Because the true color of a chick can not be justified until it becomes a cock. I have evidence.

Despite the duration of the break—two weeks—the students are flowing out of the campus. As we speak, the campus is dry like the Sahara desert.

Shortly after facing the first semester examination battle, some students, just like Gbotija, have resumed reading again. No rest.

However, this break is not just a break to some students, it’s like a gift because they need to rest after stress they have encountered. With the way students are flaunting out of the campus, some are likely to use half of next semester at home.
