Manchester United have yet again bowed to another Premier league defeat after Brighton claimed a 3-1 victory over the Red Devils on Saturday at their home ground, Old Trafford.
Saturday’s loss means that Eric Ten Hag’s men have now tasted three defeats in five games in the ongoing Premier league campaign, leaving them languishing in 12th position in the 2023 standings.
United were on top of the game but it was Danny Welbeck who broke the deadlock at the 20th minute to put Brighton and Hove Albion on 1-0 lead before the break.
7 minutes into the second-half, Brighton extended their lead to 2-0 after Pascal Gross saw the back of the net, courtesy an immaculate pass from Tariq Lamptey.
The visitors continued their hunt on United after substitute Joao Pedro scored to deliver a 3-0 lead for Brighton at the 71st minute. But United managed to pull out one as Hannibal Mejbri scored his debut goal to end the game at 3-1 on the scoresheet.
Brighton has now moved to 4th position in the English Premier League table with 12 points, while United sit on the 12thn
