NAMLAS-UDUS to Attend 18th National Conference

The Nigeria Association of Muslim Law Students (NAMLAS), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto has set to participate in the 18th national conference for muslim law students.

The event, in collaboration with the National headquarter of the association, will be held for four days, starting from Wednesday, 25th to Saturday, 28th, October at Minna, Niger state.

According to a flier released by the association, the conference will feature different programs including mock mooting competition, Quran competition, Convention insight; visitation of dignitaries, networking among others.

Themed ‘Breaking the Norm Beyond Boundary,’ the conference is staged at N10,000 as a delegate fee for interested participants.

Speaking with The News Digest Press, Gazali Rabiu, a 500-law student and Ameer of the NAMLAS, UDUS chapter, made it known that the conference is a national program.

“It’s a National program. Ours is only to attend as a local chapter, though we may know the objectives but not as accurately as the National organizing committee. We will know it better when we get there.”

“The benefit consists of strengthening the Islamic brotherhood and lots more.”

“The N10,000 is the delegate fee. Each individual willing to attend shall make such a deposit. It is meant to prepare for the delegates three square meals for four consecutive days and for excursion expenses and miscellaneous expenses,” he added.
