The flier

The Sisters’ Beauty Forum, under the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto chapter, has set to hold a fortnight lecture.

According to a flier released by the forum, the lecture will be held on Sunday, 8th October at DV Masjid, by 3:30pm.

Themed ‘The Trial of Fear in Current Times: Patience and Turning Back to Allah,’ the lecture would be facilitated by Rasheeda bint Abdullateef.

Speaking with The News Digest Press, the Ameerah of the Forum, Hanifa Attahiru Abdullahi, said the program is aimed at creating tranquillity in the mind of sisters and how they can protect themselves through azkār(supplication).

She said that the incident that occurred in DV hostel last week triggered the forum to come up with the initiative.

“Fortnight lectures for sisters is part of the tradition of the association, but this particular one was organized due to what happened last week in Dv hostel and the entire school.”

“Sisters, especially those in Dv, are scared, so the association deemed it to at least relieve their minds and remind them on what Islam says regarding fear and trial in general.”

“The program also aimed to advise sisters on some azkars and things to do in order to protect themselves both inside and outside campus,” she added.

The News Digest Press gathered that last week, an unknown group of people suspected to be men sneaked into the DV hostel in the middle of the night and broke some padlocks on bathrooms.

However, it was confirmed that no attack or property was lost in the incident.
