The Centre for Peace Studies, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has invited the General Public to its Second International Symposium on pathway to enhance security and conflict resolution.
According to the flier released from the office of the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. L.S. Bilbis, the program is scheduled to be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 10:00 am via Zoom Meeting https://wacren.zoom.us/j/65812216043 Meeting ID: 658 1221 6043.
The symposium, organized under the guidance of the Director of Centre for Peace and Studies, Prof. M.T. Usman will revolve around the theme “Pathways to enhanced security and conflict resolution – North-Western Nigeria and the Middle East in perspective.”
The chief host of the program is professor L.S Bilbis ( UDUS Vice Chancellor) and the chairman is Abubakar Sokoto Muhammad.
Contributing from their expertise, the program is set to feature a distinguished panel of speakers to delve into the complex matter and propose solutions to combat these challenges
The notable speakers are Brig. Gen. (Rtd) S. K. Usman, (mni), Publicity secretary, Alumni Association of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Abuja, Dr Murtala Ahmad Rufa’I, Department of History, (UDUS), Professor Isa Muhammad Maishanu – Dean, Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies, (UDUS), and Prof Sunday Ochoche– Executive Director, Aija Consult, (Abuja).
