Folorunsho Faozy Aduagba, a 500-level student of the Law Faculty, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), on Friday 23rd November, emerged as the best graduating advocate of the year at the Law Students’ Society (LSS) annual symposium for 2022/2023 academic session.
The symposium, which was held at the Faculty of Law Auditorium, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, awarded Aduagba for being an active Law student participating in various moot trials, and for his achievement as the Principal Partner (PP) of the ECOWAS Chambers.
Speaking with The News Digest Press, he expressed his joy over his feat that he had never thought he would emerge with this award, but with Allah’s grace, it went positively.
“I can say during my academics I only focused on having a good presentation in the various moot courtrooms, not expecting that there is a reward waiting for me at the end,” he said.
Faozy confidently asserted that he has presented before diverse audiences, including student judges and those in conventional courts, and has emerged victorious in numerous moot court competitions.
He further advises his fellow junior colleagues to actively participate in various chambers and moot activities which will pave the way to put what they have learned into practice.
“I am really happy to be given this award, obviously it is a reward for hard work,” he added.
