OSU-UDUS Celebrates Annual Cultural Day

The Offa Students’ Union (OSU), Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) chapter, under the leadership of Comrade AbdulQodir Onawola has on Sunday, 26th November celebrated its annual cultural day for the 2022/2023 academic session.

The event, hosted at the ETF1 lecture hall on the main campus, saw indigenous students of the union coming together, joined by a diverse representatives of the university’s student bodies.

The Offa cultural celebration not only showcased the rich diversity within the Offa Students’ Union but also highlighted the spirit of unity that prevails among the students at UDUS.

While speaking with The News Digest Press, Abdulqodir Onawola, the President of the Union and a 400-Level student of English, emphasized that the event’s purpose was to strengthen bonds among indigenous students.

Onawola expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the program’s success and extended appreciation to fellow executives and Union members for their unwavering support throughout his administration.

His words: ” I started and ended well, Alhamdulillah! I am so excited for the avenue Allah bestowed on me to bring Offa’s people together.”

Another member of the Union, Jimoh Kamaldeen, a 300-level student of the Faculty of Law, expressed that he felt overwhelmed over the annual day.

“It was splendid, because the event was graced by dignitaries. I hope the next administration will continue to work towards the betterment and improvement of the association,” he remarked.
