UDUS Management Implements New Security Measures for Hostel Residents with Vehicles

The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has issued a directive targeted at students residing in university hostels with cars and motorbikes.

The directive, outlined in a circular signed by COL A.Y. GWANDU (RTD), the University Chief Security Officer, mandates the registration of vehicle details with the University Security Division.

According to the circular, this decision aims to establish a comprehensive database, facilitating the efficient regulation of students’ movement through hostel gates, particularly during nighttime hours.

The circular reads : “This directive is necessary for the school security operatives to have a database that will enhance the smooth regulation of students’ passage at the hostel gate, particularly at night.

“The university Management also directs all students to always hang their ID Cards on their NECKS using the customized UDUS Lanyards, stating any student who fails to comply by the 18th of December, 2023 will be denied entrance to any of the school facilities.

“Additionally, all students are reminded that the BAN entering UDUS Campuses with TINTED vehicles and 10 pm time limit for MOROKO are for STRICT compliance.”
