The National Association of Kwara State Law Students (NAKLAS), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto chapter has on Friday, December 22nd, celebrated its annual day and Inaugurated new executives for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The event, held at LC2 lecture hall, Faculty of Law, main campus, brought together the indigenous students of Kwara State pursuing Law at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
While delivering a speech at the annual celebration, the newly inaugurated President, Abdulkareem Habeeb Akinola, expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah for the bestowed opportunity to lead.
Acknowledging the efforts of the outgoing executives and the outgoing members, Habeeb promised to make his administration the epitome of excellence—committed to working tirelessly towards fulfilling the essential needs that his administration will be the best among others by working tirelessly to ensure the necessary needs of the association.
Speaking with The News Digest press, Umar Faruq Olanrewaju, serving as the anchor of the ceremony, radiated joy over the event’s success.
“It is a remarkable one, and despite the fact that a lot of students have gone home, the event was able to have the turnout of the students,” he said.
Emphasizing the call for unity, Olanrewaju added, “This is like a call for unity, because there’s no place like home. Every indigenous student should participate in NAKLAS activities, so that we have a sense of belonging among ourselves.”
