UDUS Centre for Peace Studies Sets to Hold Virtual Symposium

The Centre for Peace Studies, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) chapter has invited the general public to its annual virtual symposium on pathways to enhance security and conflict resolution.

Scheduled to take place on Monday, February 12th, and Tuesday, February 13th, the symposium will convene via Zoom, starting at 10 am each day.

Under the guidance of Prof. M.T. Usman, the Director of the Centre for Peace Studies at UDUS, the event aims to delve into the theme, “In search of enduring solutions to rural banditry and other security challenges in the Northwest zone of Nigeria.”

The Vice Chancellor of UDUS, Prof. L.S Bilbis will serve as the chief host of the programme.

The moderators of the programme are: Abubakar S. Muhammad and Dr. Abubakar Atiku Alkali.

The notable speakers are Prof. T. A Muhammed Baba from Federal University, Birni- and Dr. Bulama Bukarti from Tony flair institute for global change.
