The outrun of young females in today’s world towards illegal sexuality is rampant. Some individuals have neglected this due to their habit of normalizing the act. Part of the major causes of this arose due to lack of parental guidance and care; lack of support from adults or communities that can provide guidance and support; and lack of comprehensive and age-appropriate sexual education.
Sexual abuse as young female children is concerned is any form of sexual activity that is forced upon someone with or without their consent. It has many distressing impacts on victims, causing long-term physical and emotional harm. One needs to know that anyone can be a victim of sexual abuse regardless of their age, gender, and sexual orientation.
The bad effects of this have led many young female children to illegal sexual contact, exploitation into sexual trafficking, or production of child photography. This dangerous effect of sexual has become neglected among the youths. They see it as a legal way and pathway of generating money to cater for their living or a way of harming the victims.
When children are given a sound alignment about the effect of this so-called sexual abuse, it will give them prior knowledge on how to go about their lives wherever they find themselves. To this, the parent is the first teacher of a child, if proper orientation were given to a child before exposure to the world, it would serve as the safeguard for such children to tackle the act of sexual abuse outside the world.
However, the role of society’s orientation is also severe in protecting children from sexual abuse. It will be more helpful for the younger ones if the communities can establish a desk of reportage of the victims for documentation so that the upbringing young ones will be enlightened about what has happened in the past.
Additionally, communities need to implore themselves by holding seminars or workshops on sexual education through the stakeholders and Nongovernmental Organizations (NGOs) to give proper orientation and knowledge about sexual abuse, so that they will be contributive members of the societies to which they belong.
