Professor L.S Bilbis, the Vice Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto has on Friday, 19th April 2024 while giving speech on the day-five of the 38th, 39th, 40th and 41st combined convocation has announced the conferment of degree.
In his speech, he said the total number of graduands are 22,932 while the varsity were able to present a total of 18,644 who will receive various Bachelor’s Degrees, Diploma, and Certificates for their worth in both character and in learning.
“Of this total number, 18,217 will receive Bachelor’s Degrees and 427 will receive Diplomas and certificates.”
“167 graduated with First class degrees, 3,486 graduated with second class upper division, 9,573 graduated with second class lower division, 3777 graduated with third class division and 15 graduated with a pass degree in their respective programmes.
“The remaining 1,199 students are from programmes such as veterinary medicine, MBBS, Nursing etc,” the VC said.
He added that for the combined convocation academic sessions, the varsity were able to produce the best graduating students for the four consecutive years.
“2018/2019 session: Adeniyi Mercy-ojo from Faculty of Agriculture with a CGPA of 4.78; 2019/2020 Session: Ismaila Abdulateef from Forestry with a CGPA of 4.72.
“2020/2021 Session: Salaudeen Sadiq from Accounting with a CGPA of 4.73; 2022/2023 Session: Abdulrahman Akanbi from Islamic Studies with a CGPA of 4.96.”
