Again, Bayer Leverkusen have salvaged their unbeaten record with a 97th-minute goal, as Alejandro Grimaldo corner was met by the head of Stanisic.

The club stretched their unbeaten run, following a memorable stoppage-time header from Josip Stanisic, spanning from a dangerous set play that saw the cracker end in a 1-1 draw at Signal Indunal Park.

Neither side failed to convert their opportunities in the halftime, as the first half ended in 0-0 parity.

Second half continued with a goalless draw before Nickalas Fullkrug broke the deadlock in 81st-minute to deliver a 1-0 lead to his side; putting Borussia Dortmund on the driver’s bus.

The rest of the match saw The Prussians being played on the couch, until Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen staged their usual miracle. Josip Stanisic’s die-minute goal is what Leverkusen need to continue with their unbeaten race.

Recall that Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen have clinched their first ever Bundesliga title, after thrashing Werder Bremen 5-0 last weekend.

The Champion Bayer have also preserved their German unbeaten run while setting a new European record for the longest undefeated streak _ playing 45 matches undeafed across all competitions.

Moreso, Alonso’s side faces F.C. Roma in the UEFA Europa semi finals, and plays F.C. Koln in the DFB Pokal final.
