Ajisafe Sodiq Lukman, a 300-level Pharmaceutical Science student at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has developed a groundbreaking application named ‘Fastfil’ for online transactions on campus.
The application was created and designed to enhance easy online transactions without undergoing stress within the campus.
Speaking with The News Digest Press, Lukma mentioned that the idea took shape four years ago but gained clarity and functionality only last year.
He emphasized that the primary goal behind ‘Fastfill’ is to alleviate the challenges faced by students when purchasing products, particularly gas refills, over long distances.
“The idea started 4 years ago but became clearer only last year. Students face a lot while trying to buy products over a long distance and the cost of transportation. So as a student, I observe the need to create a pathway to solve this.”
“Over the months we have successfully facilitated over 700 transactions. FASFTIL is an e-commerce platform, with the heartfelt mission to make Gas cylinder refilling easier for individuals, make food purchases in bulk easier for individuals, and get it delivered to your doorstep with little fee. The app was launched this semester.”
Explaining the collaborative effort behind ‘Fastfill,’ Lukman as a UIUX designer, credited his team, which includes Johnbosco Udeh. He clarified that while currently limited to the UDUS campus, there are plans for expansion in the future.
“Our vision extends beyond UDUS, and as we continue to evolve, we aspire to serve a broader audience, providing convenience and efficiency in online transactions.”
