Dear Danfodites, “May your road be smooth.” Apologies for sending my wishes late. This prayer should have been made earlier. Yet all things being said, this is my heartfelt message on the exams coming in the coming weeks.
Remember exam is like telling all that we shall one day have to tell. A semblance of the day of accountability when all men, standing hands akimbo, shall be called upon to account for all that transpired in this vicious world. Hence prepare well for it. Don’t be scared. Hard work pays and in your case, there won’t be an exception. Yet don’t forget to pray. The Almighty is the only one who can grant victory.
At the present stage, I don’t have to tell you the fastest way to pass is by rigorous reading, prayer, and a proper reflection of what you read. Any other way is never sure like the one mentioned above. See I understand the fact that class, this time, is not conducive enough for reading, considering the rate at which the dreary heat bites, coupled with the fact that there is usually no light to ameliorate the strain.
However, no matter how hard the unfavorable weather pushes you, do not agree with it. Push harder and success is assured. May you be ebullient in victory and not sullen to exam defeats
And to my fellow extracurricular enthusiasts, May we find a balance between our flair and our duty as Danfodites. Remember that, students we were, before we chose to mount another pedestal. May we not be chased by the unseen in the pursuit of our dreams. May we not encounter a storm that will groom shadows on our lives forever.
Fellow Danfodites, permit me to feed you the words of Tai Solarin (reframed): “I therefore repeat, may you have a hard time this coming exam, may there be plenty of troubles for you this exam! if you’re not so sure what you should say back, why not just say, ‘Same to you’? I ask for no more.” It is not a curse guys, I pray you solve all troubles that come your way this exam. May you return victorious. May your stars bring you a rough road.
It’s just in his (Tai) words, “…What I wish for myself every year…” Our successes are conditioned by the amount of risk we are ready to take.
If therefore, you are out to smash that result, bag that A’s and cease the fears of looking life in the eye, please accept it as a prayer from me too: May your road be rough.
