The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) chapter is set to hold heroes day to honour the retired members and a valedictory lecture in honour of the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Professor L.S Bilbis.
According to a flier released by the union, the programme will be held on Wednesday, 10th July, 2024 at the University Auditorium, main campus by 9:00 am.
Themed, “University Governance and Traditions in Nigeria: Issues, Challenges and Prospect” would be presented under the Chairmanship of Professor M. Z. Umar, the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Birnin Kebbi.
The dignitaries to grace the occasion are: Prof. Abubakar Sabo Zonal coordinator, Sokoto Zone as the Chief Host; the national president for ASUU, Professor Emmanuel Victor Osodeke as the special guest of honour among others
The Branch Chairperson, Professor M.N. Almustapha and Oluwatoyin Temitayo Ogundipe, the former Vice Chancellor University of Lagos will be the host and guest speaker respectively.
