The Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science(MLS) have claimed a 1-0 victory over Team Faculty of College of Health Sciences (CLS) on Monday at the ongoing Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto’s inter-faculty football tournament in the School Stadium.
The match started with a tense atmosphere where the two teams mounted pressure on each other before a cracker from MLS target man separated the both sides before the break.
However, MLS spent the remaining minutes of the first-half under the cosh as CLS parked them under the box but could not bring the game back to parity.
The beginning of the second-half saw MLS playing an anti-football as the CLS dominated the match but the Lab boys held their nerves to seal the 1-0 victory.
Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences are through to the 2nd round of the competition and ready to rock their next target.
Meanwhile, Faculty of of College of Health Sciences have been eliminated from the tournament following the 1-0 defeat.
