I will like to say, the past Umar Shamsudeen led Students’ Union Caretaker Committee’s efforts merited an encomium, even though it has an uncompleted project on ground. But that does not in any way share room with the yet to be vomited matter.
Worry less when I say Shamsudeen and his team had done sterling works for the welfare of danfodites. One of the laudable works is the walkway that leads to the school bus stop, an immense achievement appreciated and gratified by the students as it eases their movement.
Is it the signposts that easily lead students to different areas of the university halls of residence which serve as guides, specifically to those who reside outside the campus we want to talk about or what?
Yes! Samshudeen discharged his responsibility to the vertex as the Student’s Union Chairman but not as the president, even though he failed in many approaches to issues, recalling the unfulfilled promises he made to the class representative of each department on Sunday, 2019/2020 academic session as history briefed us.
Regardless, Samsudeen and his team had left a blueprint in their respective portfolios, considering the black painted metal constructed in front of every hostel as they create comfort for the morocco attendees. These seats are not only restricted to the school hostel alone but are erected at various spots on campus.
In those female hostels, it’s uncommon to see male students visiting their female friends at the ‘Morocco spot’ to exhaust all their chats under the canopy of cassia trees.
I think we will be over the moon if we see that those seats are also built across the main stadium’s pavilion by the new Students Union president.
We believe the president will work on this because the stadium fails to serve its purpose of accommodating football fans. Thereby hanging them on their legs under the shadow of trees at the opposite side.
We believe in our minds that we have a leader but let our eyes testify. We hope the present administration does better than its predecessor and do something on this by giving it a room in its project.
