In an interview with Habeeb Olokooba, he conveyed his happiness for the recognition bestowed on him by the Law Students Society (LSS), UDUS chapter.

“It is well deserved, because I can say I merited it, since it was only restricted to Journalists within the Law Faculty,” he said.

Olokooba maintained that he had the dream of winning many awards but he had never envisioned that he would be nominated for this award by the association.

“I never knew such an award existed till I was notified that I had been shortlisted for the category – Journalist of the year,” he said.

He further put emphasis on his consistency in writing as a great criteria that aided him to be recognized as the best Journalist of the year.

“Well I will say I had an impact in the coverage and reportage of events as they transpired in the Faculty. I will also say this is nothing compared to the awards and benefits journalism has in store. And to the fellow journalists including myself, I realised we need persistent focus and consistency that can drive us to triumph,” he concluded.
