Usmanu Danfodiyo University
In the wake of yesterday’s celebration of Nigeria’s distinctive qualities, today unveils a nation grappling with formidable challenges. Lives, regrettably, find themselves undervalued amidst internal security crises, orchestrated by powerful bandit forces. Within the hallowed halls of public universities, students’ personal spheres bear the brunt of unwelcome disruptions, transforming each night into an unsettling symphony of unexpected disturbances.
The symphony plays a dissonant tune, drowning the potential for tranquility and stifling the academic pursuits of those who seek knowledge amid the cacophony of unrest. Nigeria, once adorned with uniqueness, now stands at a crossroads, beckoning for concerted efforts to restore the harmony of peace and the sanctity of education.
This name of Today’s Nigeria and how it is known has made Danfodiyo University management take a proactive step to enhance security by banning tinted vehicles on campus. While this contributes to peace of mind, a comprehensive approach also requires more vigilant security agents working around the clock.
Every night, the hearts of students echo a common plea: CAN WE HAVE MORE SECURITY AGENTS? The answer to this heart-wrenching question is emerging. More necessary measures to gradually enhance the safety of students’ lives are being taken.
The pursuit of our essential needs has brought us to the point of more of WHAT WE REALLY NEED, we have GOTTEN it. Just more, more and more of it WE NEED- leading to the circular from the management which noted that “in consideration of the prevalent security situation in the country and the need to enhance the security and safety of the staff, students and all other persons having any lawful activity within the University, the University Authority has deemed it necessary to adopt and impose additional security precautionary measures in all its campuses. To this end, the University has decided to impose, and hereby imposes, BAN ON ALL TINTED-GLASS VEHICLES within all its campuses”.
This evident that Usmanu Danfofiyo University will forever be the most peaceful university in Nigeria as the name implies.
