The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto has issued an official call for the qualified candidates to apply for faculty positions within various departments and units.
This was contained in a memorandum released on Thursday, December 7th, and titled ‘Internal and External Advertisement’ from the office of the registrar and secretary to the council of the university.
According to the memo, the Faculty of Dental Sciences is specifically seeking applications for lecturer positions while opportunities for both lecturers and assistant lecturers are available in five other departments.
The memo reads in full:
“Faculty of Dental Sciences: Lecturer I and Lecturer II
Department of Mass Communication: Lecturer I, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturer
Department of Nutrition and Dietetics: Lecturer I, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturer
Department of Optometry: Lecturer I, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturer
Department of Physiotherapy: Lecturer I, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturer
Department of Radiography: Lecturer I, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturer.
“The minimum minimum requirements to the positions are as follows:
- Lecturer I: PhD degree with research and publications experience (3(1))
Ii Lecturer II: Master’s degree with research and publications experience (1(0.5))
iii. Assistant Lecturer: Master’s degree

“Applications must be received by the Registrar’s office no later than two (2) weeks from the date of this advertisement,” it added.
