In a globe filled with youths who found fraud as the only way to triumph, peers with a contrary view should be greatly celebrated. Society has degenerated, and immorality has been styled. Thus, it will be kooky for you not to celebrate your little wins. Both thumbs will ask you if you don’t celebrate this milestone you called little. If only you know what your mates do behind the abstract orchestra you will appreciate every blessing your Maker pushes your way.
Just yesterday, when I saw the excitement in people’s eyes, I couldn’t help but wish the Almighty’s help continued to fall like notcoin did this week. It illustrates the reward for resilience and hard work. It mirrors that there is still a way to righteousness. For people like me: who hail from a place where nobody makes it out without people thinking it’s magic, we shouldn’t trend the game of people who count on them from home, yet we shouldn’t partake in the game that might tardily end us behind the bars. Narrowly we have to find a way, somehow, and win within the rules.
To those who were too busy to tap, I hope you know better now: procrastination is the destroyer of dreams and not failure. You can fail and still win, it is very possible. But forget it, if you don’t try there is no such chance of it happening. Earlier in January, I was privileged to speak with a friend’s brother: the gap between us is like the sky to the Earth’s surface, a perfect representative of the haves and the haves not. Him being the former and me the latter. He said to me “Habeeb, God won’t come from heaven to help you. You have to do something.” that was coming from someone who knew both poverty and wealth at a different point in time. Mining is a step toward moving away from poverty. And “Let the young man fighting for his purpose go out and hunt. If he kills the elephant, his poverty ends. If the elephant kills him, his poverty ends, too.” a win-win situation is in both ways.
Accordingly, don’t let anyone make you feel less of yourself, you deserve every good thing that comes your way. No one was there when you were sullenly and furiously tapping, when it pays, don’t feel ashamed of the ebullient victory, you deserve it. Though it might be small compared to what you expected, recall that most of your mates rely on voodoo and metaphysics to bring a modest meal to the table. Don’t be an ingrate. Yet! Don’t stop trying. You will win and it will be loud.
In conclusion, do let not people that cannot do anything for you make you feel less of the hustle that brings you stability. People are toxic and want everyone in your lane of action to fail because they were unable to triumph in that line. And besides, only the words in your head are worth a listening ear and not what learners of life have to say. And in the beginning, it was probably nothing. May your road be rough.
