Established in 1995, Digest Press, formally known as The News Digest Press, is a campus press outlet based at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. It covers both issues on the campus and beyond.
The board has been known for its consistency and true practice of journalism.
On campus, Digest has won the Press Board of the Year award for three consecutive times—2018, 2019 and 2020. The board extend to maintain the feast in 2023, 2024 and 2025—missing only 2021/2022 academic in the last seven years.
At national level, the press board has emerged as the winner of the Pen Club of the Year award at the 2019 annual campus journalism awards organized by the Youth Digest in Nigeria. While in 2024, Digest became runner-up for the category.
