Abdulkareem Habeeb, a 500 level student of law at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto has been appointed as the president of the National Association of Kwara State Law Students, UDUS chapter for the upcoming 2023/2024 academic session.
This appointment took place on Friday, December 22nd, during the handover ceremony of the 2022/2023 executives, held at the LC2 lecture hall in the faculty of law on the main campus.
Expressing elation over the appointment, Habeeb conveyed his interest to contribute positively to NAKLAS—pledging to introduce impactful innovation for the benefit of the entire association.
Outlining plans to revitalize moot court practices, he said, “ l will wake up our sleeping moot court practice. There will be a tutorial for the needed level only for the NAKLAS members. I believe I can achieve these with the support of all the excos.
“ With the help of God, l will try to make sure NAKLAS will hold a mooting competition that will involve all other states in our faculty. Also, along with my executives, we will equally create an internship for interested NAKLAS members.”
Speaking further, he added, “I can achieve these promises by God’s grace and with the support of both members and Excos.”
