The Student Union Caretaker Committee, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has sympathized with students on the unfortunate fire incident that occurred during the course of their journey to school from Ibadan.
Recall that The News Digest Press earlier reported the unfortunate fire outbreak which happened around Ogbomosho, Oyo State. The motor conveyed UDUS students from Ibadan.
According to the statement released by the Student Union and obtained by the News Digest Press on Sunday, the union expressed its sympathy.
“It is with a heavy heart that I write to you following the unfortunate incident of the fire outbreak that affected your journey back to school,” the statement reads in part.
“We thank the Almighty for preserving your lives, and while we deeply sympathize with you over the loss of your belongings, we take solace in the fact that you are safe.
The union further acknowledged that although the incident is painful, it’s part of the struggles that shape and prepare students for greater things ahead.
The union further urged students not to let this setback discourage them, instead it should fuel the determination to keep pushing forward.
“Please do not let this setback discourage you. Instead, let it fuel your determination to keep pushing forward. If you need any form of support, do not hesitate to reach out to us. We will do our best to assist in any way we can.”
“Once again, we sympathize with you and encourage you to remain strong. May this experience be a stepping stone to greater achievement in our academic journey,” the statement ends.
